Anchoring Resilience

In this workshop, Nkem Ndefo draws from The Resilience Toolkit: a culturally responsive framework for reducing stress, addressing trauma, and building embodied resilience. She shares tools and practices that can support us to down regulate, especially during times of crisis and turbulence. Open the door to your ability to recognize when it’s safe enough to rest, and how to rest effectively.

This video is adapted from an event we ran as part of Through the Portal: Healing Justice Beyond Pandemic – a community-led public health programme through a disability justice and anti-oppression lens. The programme was launched in 2020, in response to the disproportionate impact of Covid-19 on communities that are marginalised.
