
Jalal (he/him) is a coach and healing practitioner based in East London. His practice is all about engaging marginalized folks in community-based healing and mutual support, using coaching, Tai Chi & Qigong, and politicised somatics. He has a background in Chen Family Tai Chi, and trained under Master Chen Ziqiang, 20th generation inheritor of the tradition. He is currently especially interested in working with rage, joy and grief, and locating healing work in the arc of ancestral inheritances, transmissions and relationships. His work with Healing Justice London has included: Reimagining Masculinities, Tai Chi for Resistance, and most recently the Embodied Rage Space. Jalal has worked extensively with asylum seekers, and ran theĀ Open Cultural Centre, a community space for psychosocial support in North Greece, between 2018 and 2019.
