dr dima mekdad is Shubbak Festival’s Executive Director. Her experience spans from clinical analysis, research, education and arts and culture. dima is one of the support practitioners of Healing Justice London (HJL).  She holds spaces for womxn, Palestinians and communities that are minoritised in both English and Arabic. dima is committed to making healing and transformative practices and spaces more accessible for communities of global majority heritage including Arabic speaking communities worldwide.
